On the possibility of current amplification by random inhomogeneities in graphene

  • Published:
Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

A problem on the response of graphene with impurities to an electric field in the presence of a magnetic field is considered. The electron subsystem of graphene with impurities is analyzed using the Boltzmann kinetic equation, and inhomogeneities in the structure are modeled based on the gauge approach that causes the occurrence of the so-called pseudo-magnetic field. It is demonstrated that the current can be amplified due to inhomogeneities.
