Phase Shift Region Analysis of n 16O Elastic Scattering in the 2 D 3/2 Resonance

  • ELEMENTARY PARTICLE PHYSICS AND FIELD THEORY
  • Published:
Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

Based on the well-known experimental measurements of excitation functions of n 16O elastic scattering at an angle of 20° for 550 energy values in the region of 750–1250 keV, phase shift analysis is performed for determining the position of the 2 D 3/2 resonance at 1000 keV. The resonance 2 D 3/2 phase so obtained is in agreement with the characteristics of the corresponding level of the 17O nucleus, and the suggested scattering potentials describe satisfactorily the phase shifts and widths of resonances at 433 and 1000 keV.
