Results of numerical modeling of centimeter and decimeter radio wave diffraction by aircrafts in the Huygens–Fresnel approximation in the form of scattering indicatrices for the interval of bistatic angles (180 ± 55)° are presented. Methods of barrier over-the-horizon radio detection and ranging of aircrafts and estimation of their cross velocity when the aircraft crosses a propagation path are discussed.
