Structural states with high curvature of the crystal lattice in submicrocrystalline and nanocrystalline metallic materials

  • Published:
Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

Experimental data on the mechanisms of the formation of structural states with high curvature of the crystal lattice in submicrocrystals and nanocrystals of metallic materials under various conditions of intense mechanical action are summarized. It has been revealed how the quantitative parameters of these states are related to the ability of a material to relax to these states, to the features of the material nanocrystalline structure, to the deformation method and strain. Analysis of the main factors that determine these parameters and the characteristics of the elastically stressed state in high curvature zones of the crystal has been performed.
