Construction and identification of the profiles of magnetodrift radiation of pulsars

Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

The profiles of pulsars radiating by the mechanism proposed by Radhakrishnan and Cook have been constructed. For doing this, the indicatrix of the power angular distribution for the instantaneous radiation of an arbitrarily moving relativistic charge was used as a basis. Various profile shapes were investigated in relation to the radiation source and pulsar parameters. It has been shown that a proper choice of the parameters makes it possible to construct profiles being in close agreement with the observed ones.
