Thomas precession and spin

Abstract

With the help of the infinitesimal covariant Lorentz transformations, it is demonstrated that the Bargmann-Michel-Telegdi classical spin equation naturally involves the Thomas precession. The same results are obtained using the alternative phenomenological approach.
