Abstract

A solution of an electrodynamics problem regarding determination of the signal from a pickup coil with a cylindrical specimen having varying magnetic permeability that is placed into the coil is obtained as a function of the polar coordinate. The case of an alternating homogeneous field is considered. Computational models are suggested for studying the experimental dependences; these models allow one to make conclusions on the regularities of changes in the magnetic permeability in alternating fields. The appropriate plots are presented.
