Abstract

Reactions of 1-aryl-2-(2,5-dimethylthiophen-3-yl)-2-hydroxyethanones with thiols in trifluoroacetic acid lead to formation of substituted 1-aryl-2-(2,5-dimethylthiophen-3-yl)-2-sulfanylethanones.
