Abstract
Electrosynthesis of 1,3,5-trimethylpyrazole-4-carboxylic acid is realized through electrocatalytic oxidation of 1,3,5-trimethyl-4-formylpyrazole in a diaphragmless cell on an NiOOH electrode in an aqueous alkaline medium. The synthesis conditions are optimized and a preparative method of producing the desired product with a yield of 78% as calculated per charged 4-formylpyrazole is developed.
