Abstract

Copper(II) complexes based on a new ligand system, which forms from condensation of substituted salicylaldehyde derivatives with 4-R1-8-R2-2 -hydrazinoquinoline were synthesized. The composition and structure of the ligands and the complexes were established by the spectroscopy (IR and 1H NMR), magnetochemistry, and X-ray diffraction data. The mononuclear structures of all the metal chelates synthesized is explained by structural and chemical features of the ligands.
