Russian Chemical Bulletin Aims and scope

Abstract

New functionalized N-(diphosphonomethyl)-containing peptides were synthesized in high yields by the reaction of tris(trimethylsilyl) phosphite with the appropriate N-formylpeptides under mild conditions in the presence of an effective catalyst, trimethylsilyl triflate. A catalytic scheme for the formation of the products was proposed. The resulting compounds are of interest as promising biologically active substances and effective ligands.
