Abstract

A simple method of synthesis of (±)-2,3-dihydroprenol disodium phosphates, semisynthetic analogs of natural dolichyl phosphate, was developed. The method consists of oxidation of a mixture of polyprenols (C70-C85) from the needles of Siberian fir (Abies sibirica) to prenals, reduction of prenals to (±)-2,3-dihydroprenols, and phosphorylation of dihydroprenols with POCl3 in the presence of triethylamine.
