Abstract
A convenient one-step method for the preparation of 8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-3-one derivatives, analogs of epibatidine, was suggested, which consists in the reaction of succinic aldehyde with heterocyclic amines and acetonedicarboxylic acid in the presence of sodium hydrogen phosphate.
