Assymmetric Ir-catalyzed hydrogenation of 2-methylindole using phosphite-type ligands

Abstract

The asymmetric Ir-catalyzed hydrogenation of 2-methylindole using chiral phosphite-type ligands was carried out for the first time. It was shown that the addition of iodine leads to considerable rise of conversion and enantioselectivity.
