Novel C 2-symmetric bis-oxazoline ligands

Abstract

Two novel C 2-symmetric bis-oxazoline ligands were synthesized and their complexes with Cu(OAc)2 were studied as catalysts in the enantioselective Henry reaction of 4-nitrobenz-aldehyde with nitromethane giving high yield of nitro aldol with ee up to 40%.
