New electroluminescent materials based on chelate zinc complexes

  • Published:
Russian Chemical Bulletin Aims and scope

Abstract

Three new chelate zinc complexes with azomethine groups characterized by luminescence in the visible spectral region were synthesized: bis(N-(2-oxybenzylidene)cyclohexylamine)zinc, bis(N-(2-oxybenzylidene)-4-tert-butylaniline)zinc, and N,N′-bis(oxybenzylidene)-1,2-phenylenediaminezinc. Their spectral properties were studied. Based on these complexes, we prepared electroluminescence devices giving an intense emission in the blue, green, and red spectral regions.
