Abstract
The sorption power of divinyl sulfide-4-vinylpyridine copolymer toward Hg(II) ions was studied. The influence of the kind and concentration of an acid on the sorption characteristics is examined. Mechanisms of the interaction of the active sorption centers of the copolymer with Hg(II) ions are discussed.
