Mechanism of Depolymerization of Polymeric p-Dinitrosobenzene in Vulcanization of Unsaturated Rubbers: A Quantum-Chemical Study

Abstract

The mechanism of depolymerization of polymeric p-dinitrosobenzene in vulcanization of unsaturated rubbers is analyzed. The results obtained explain why the vulcanizing activity of p-dinitrosobenzene decreases in the course of its prolonged storage.
