Synthesis of 10-aryl-7,9-dihydro-3H-furo[3,4-b]pyrazolo[4,3-f]quinolin-9-one using supported ionic liquid

Abstract

A series of 3H-furo[3,4-b]pyrazolo[4,3-f]quinolinone derivatives has been synthesized through three-component reaction of tetronic acid, 5-aminoindazole and various aromatic aldehydes in the presence of the silica-supported ionic liquid 1-methyl-3-(triethoxysilylpropyl)imidazolium hydrogen sulfate as the catalyst.
