Surface Properties of Slurries Based on Fused Quartz

Studies into the surface properties of slurries used for manufacturing casting molds in lost-wax casting are presented. The contact angles of slurries having different compositions are given along with their surface tension when using different binders. Conclusions regarding the selection of slurry compositions for manufacturing ceramic shells are presented.
