Structural Influence of Blow-Through Tuyeres on Their Efficiency in the Bottom Blowing of Metal in Steel-Teeming Ladles of Oxygen Converter Shop

The article presents the information on different structural types of refractory products used for blowing metal in steel-teeming ladles and the key factors influencing their efficiency. The influence of basic refractory materials and their manufacture quality on the technological performance of the products is also evaluated. Based on continuous monitoring of the metal blowing efficiency, the structural types of argon-conducting units were determined, which are most consistent with the requirements of the technological process of cleaning steel in the steel-teeming ladles of the oxygen converter shop of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works PJSC.
