Comparative Indices of Different Grades of Cubic Boron Nitride Abrasive Powders

  • Published:
Refractories and Industrial Ceramics Aims and scope

Comparative data are provided for synthesis of cubic boron nitride (CBN) grade Elbor in the Mg–B–N system using different catalysts in presses with a force of 25MN(DO044) during 1997 – 2009. Mechanical properties of different grades of Elbor CBN are compared with CBN powders of grades ABN (DeBeers) and CBN8 (China).
