Preparation of Aluminum-Yttrium Garnet Luminscent Ceramic Alloyed with Cerium

  • Published:
Refractories and Industrial Ceramics Aims and scope

Results are provided for a study of the mechanical and luminescence properties of aluminum-yttrium garnet ceramic specimens alloyed with cerium (Y2.97Ce0.03Al5O12). Specimens are prepared from nanostructured powder with a primary particle size of the order of 50 nm prepared by coprecipitation, compaction, and sintering.
