Experience in using sliding gates of steel teeming ladles

Abstract

Having used steel teeming ladles over more than two decades, Byelorussian Steel Works (BSW) enterprise has gained considerable practical experience, including the operation of important units such as sliding gates. Increasing volume of steel production makes necessary a decrease in the specific expenditures. In order to provide for this, BSW undertakes research aimed at reducing expenditures, in particular, by using refractory materials with longer life and better performance characteristics.
