Photocatalytic action of ZnO thin films prepared by the sol–gel method

Abstract

Nanostructured ZnO thin films were deposited on glass by the dip-coating sol–gel method. The films exhibited pronounced activity to destroy malachite green in water both under UV-light illumination and in the dark.
