Summary

The influence of hydrogen bond formation on the spectroscopic properties of dual luminescent naphthalimides was examined in n-hexane using fluorinated alcohols as hydrogen bond donors. Complex formation causes considerable red shift of the dominant intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) fluorescence maxima.
