Abstract
We consider the possibility of decreasing the negative influence of roughness on the visibility of underwater objects. The technique is based on determination of undistorted parts of an underwater-object image by using information about glitters on the sea surface. The effect of the angular resolution of the imaging system on the underwater-object image quality is studied.
