  1. In particular we shared an interest in the work of my teacher Ludwig Lachmann (on capital theory and methodological subjectivism). The relevance of Lachmann’s approach was greatly enhanced by the work of Steve’s teacher Don Lavoie. Lavoie’s work featured prominently in the post-1974 revival of Austrian economics, though it was regarded by some “Austrians” as controversial.
