Directs Human Rights Education Associates (HREA), an international non-governmental organization dedicated to education and learning about human rights. Ms. Tibbitts was trained at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and is currently completing her doctorate at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. In 2005, she was guest editor of a special issue of Intercultural Education on human rights education and transformative learning and in 2006 will co-edit a special issue on human rights education for the Journal of Social Science Education.
