Abstract
The roughness of nickel coatings with highly developed surface (constituted from dendrites) can be estimated by measuring their differential capacitance under cathodic polarization in weakly acid sulfate solution. For the same purpose, using diffusion- or kinetics-controlled electrochemical reactions yields underestimates.
