Abstract
This study has examined the mediating role of social capital in the relationship between organizational commitment and personality traits among primary school managers. The method was correlational and the study population consisted of all primary school managers in Ardabil city, Iran. The participants completed questionnaires of the Sixteen Personality Factor, Organizational Commitment, and Social Capital. The results showed that emotional stability, insecurity, and self-sufficiency traits were related to organizational commitment. the traits of emotional stability and radicalism were associated with social capital. Also, there was a significant correlation between organizational commitment and social capital. The results of structural equation modeling showed that personality traits directly and indirectly through organizational commitment were affected social capital.
