Phytochemical Characteristics of Astragalus vulpinus Willd. Herb and Psychomodulating Activity of its Extract

The qualitative and quantitative chemical compositions of Astragalus vulpinus Willd. herb were investigated and included saponins, flavonoids, and ascorbic acid. Porsolt tests on white outbred male rats subjected to informational stress were used to study the psychomodulating effect of A. vulpinus herbal extract on their behavior. It was established that extract of A. vulpinus herb produced protective action under informational stress conditions by restoring changes of the psychoemotional status.
