Abstract

A triple band rectangular slotted antenna for THz applications has been reported in this study. Over a 10 dB impedance scale, the suggested antenna covers the frequency spectrums with a centre frequency of 0.73, 0.76, and 0.79 GHz. With a 0.75 GHz fundamental frequency, a rectangular patch antenna is first developed. Later, it is transformed into a rectangular ring, which provides triple band resonance across a 10 dB impedance bandwidth. The intended triple-band THz array that was built has a gain of up to 10 dBi and a directivity of 12 dB. Additionally, the array has a radiation efficiency of up to 85% throughout all spectral bands. After seeing and assessing the impact that the variation in the number of radiating pieces had on both the gain and the return loss, we came to this conclusion. Given this information, the developed antenna has been a potential choice for usage in satellite and space research as well as terrestrial applications.
