Abstract

The degree of polarization on normal and spiny red blood cell suspensions is analyzed by Mueller matrix measurement. Cells with spiny surface figures are prepared by adding salt to the suspension of diluted human blood cells to increase osmotic pressure. Fine structures on the cell surface cause differences in the degree of polarization in circular polarized light
