To the Editor:
We write to set the record straight regarding the recent article by Basu and Nair (2006) Potential Clinical Role of FDG-PET in Detecting Sarcomatous transformation in von Recklinghausen’s Disease: a case study and review of the literature, J Neurooncol 80(1): 91–95. In that article the authors omitted from their reference list our article on the same topic, Positron Emission Tomography in the Detection and Management of Sarcomatous Transformation in Neurofibromatosis, Solomon et al., Clin Nucl Med 2001; 26:525. They cited four other papers, but not ours, making their review of the literature incomplete.
