Processing Features of Laser Facing Structure Formation Using Powerful Fiber Laser Radiation

  • LASER TREATMENT
  • Published:
Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Specimens of facing made from nickel-base powder on flat and cylindrical surfaces of steel 35 substrate, prepared in an inert gas atmosphere under action of fiber laser radiation with different regimes are studied. Metallographic studies of facing using precision analytical equipment are provided. The heat-affected zone, and microhardness distribution through substrate cross section and surfacing layers, are determined. Diffusion of base components into laser facing metal is studied.
