Effect of Hot Deformation Parameters on Austenitic Ni – Co – Cr – Mo-Alloy Microstructure Evolution

  • Published:
Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Physical modeling is provided for hot deformation by torsion of austenitic steel of the system Ni – Co – Cr – Mo using a torsion plastometer. The effect of hot deformation temperature, deformation, and time parameters on microstructure evolution is studied by light microscopy and electron back-scattered diffraction. Results may be used for developing hot plastic deformation regimes for similar alloys.
