Heat treatment of steel rolls for cold rolling

  • Published:
Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

A new production regime has been developed and approved for preliminary heat treatment of steel rolls. The microstructure of steel, from which rolls are manufactured, is studied by electron microscopy after each form of heat treatment. A dependence of steel mechanical properties on heat treatment regime is established.
