Some features of eutectic structure formation in cast iron

  • Published:
Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Some known theories and concepts of the liquid state in alloys and their eutectic solidification are considered. Acorrelation is provided for the cluster structure of eutectic alloys and their solidification in cast iron with features of the variety of structures that form, i.e. from purely graphitized to completely carbidized structures.
