Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

The isothermal decomposition of supercooled austenite in powder steels alloyed with 6 – 18% nickel and sintered at 900 – 1000°C is studied. The degree of stability of the austenite is determined as a function of its content and homogeneity.
