Solid laser hardening of iron parts

  • Published:
Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

A method of on-line development of a process of laser hardening of a part with the use of computational models and special computer software is described. Computational and experimental results of hardening of massive iron parts with the help of CO2 and YAG lasers are compared.
