Oscillogram-Period Method for Determining Kinds of Graphitized Iron

  • Published:
Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Abstract

The microstructure of graphitized iron is studied by a vibroacoustic oscillogram-period method. It is shown that the method is suitable for evaluating the strength of iron on the basis of a derived relation between the standard coefficient of the period of sound and the ultimate rupture strength.
