Abstract
The metal of castings with a mass of from 0.3 to 3.5 tons obtained from heats with a mass of from 1 to 7 tons in acid and basic furnaces is studied. The castings were treated in a specially developed mode. Acomposition of steel and a process for its heat treatment for fabricating large castings are suggested.
