Application of the Logarithmic Moment of an Intensity Distribution as an Alternative to the Dispersion Coefficient of a Laser Beam

We consider a quasi-Gaussian characteristic that defines the degree of deviation of the measured intensity distribution of a laser beam from a Gaussian distribution. This characteristic is an alternative to the beam dispersion coefficient M2.
