Ensuring Reliability of Estimates of Conformity of Aircraft Landing Indicators with Flight Suitability Standards

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

It is shown that the reliability of measurements of the monitored parameters for correct evaluation of conformity with flight suitability standards should be evaluated in terms of the concept of acceptable risk. An adequate mathematical model for metrological support of conformity assessment relies on a sample tolerance interval that is mainly parametric as that is the most economical for the required number of measurements. An original method is proposed for constructing this kind of interval for a wide range of distributions.
