A Method for the Measurement of the Composition of Multicomponent Gaseous Media

Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

A method of determining the composition of multicomponent gaseous media based on the use of a multichannel system with set of sensors possessing selective sensitivity to individual components is proposed. Functions for the conversion of the signals of the individual sensors and of the system of channels as a whole in light of the simultaneous influence of all the components on each channel are obtained. The direct and inverse problem of measuring the concentrations of the components of a particular medium are solved by means of an iterative procedure.
