This is a study of the production of stable disaggregated colloidal solutions of aluminum oxide and titanium dioxide nanoparticles based on dry nanopowders of these materials obtained by laser vaporization and condensation. Ultrasonic processing and high speed centrifuging of suspensions of the dry powders are used to stabilize colloidal solutions with a narrow size distribution of the particles. Prototype national reference materials for the diameter of nanoparticles of colloidal solutions of aluminum oxide and titanium dioxide are developed and certified.
