The basic principles and operating features of an octant selector that is a component of the structure of an analog-to-digital transducer of the signals of a sine-cosine synchro resolver are set forth. Analytic dependences of the errors are obtained and recommendations given for the application of these errors in metrological assurance of the production process. A method of increasing the operating precision of an octant selector that involves reducing the influence of the phase shifts of the signal by varying the delay used to generate the result of the conversion is proposed.
