Experimental identification of the stressed state of elements of columnar constructions

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

The Fourier transforms of the serial deformation responses of initial and relaxed models are constructed with recourse to new stress-relief and serial testing algorithms with discrete variation of excitation using as an example two varieties of models of columnar elements in the form of planar cut-out and welded samples. Qualitative and quantitative criteria according to which a construction and (or) element is found in a stressed state are experimentally evaluated on the basis of an analysis of the nonlinear and linear regions of these Fourier transforms.
