Four methods of calibrating thermometers to measure temperature difference, used in heat meters, are analyzed from the point of view of reducing the error of the result and of measuring the economic costs in checking thermometers. It is shown that the method can be based on an investigation of the individual coefficients, characteristic for a batch of thermometers, which is particularly important if they are manufactured using a platinum film sensitive element.
